Former Castlebar Celtic player returns to Galway Women's FC

Former Castlebar Celtic player Ruth Fahy has returned to Galway Women's FC for the 2021 season.

A well-known figure in Irish women’s football circles, Ruth has had an extremely successful career with Celtic, Salthill Devon, Galway Women’s FC and Wexford Youths, as well as internationally with the Republic of Ireland.

Galway Women's FC have also announced that staunch defender Keara Cormican, a former club captain, has re-signed for 2021.

Lynsey McKey has re-signed with the club for the 2021 season as well. A prolific striker, Lynsey brings plenty of experience to the Galway WFC squad having played in the Women’s National League since its inauguration in 2011.

The new SSE Airtricity Women's National League season starts on Saturday (March 27).
