Beautiful tributes paid to Mayo nurse on her passing

The death of Ursula Clarke (née Reilly), Willow Creek, Sligo Road, Ballina, is deeply mourned in the community.

The high esteem in which she was held has been illustrated by the many beautiful tributes paid to her on social media since the news of her passing on Monday at the North West Hospice, Sligo, was announced.

The deceased, who worked as a nurse at Sligo University Hospital and, previously, at Mayo University Hospital, was described as 'such a positive, kind and understanding person' and 'a lady, so full of knowledge that she so readily shared'.

Another tribute on RIP.ie stated: “She had a heart of gold and the bubbliest, friendliest personality. She has left this world a better place.”

Predeceased by her mother Mary, Ursula is sadly missed by her husband Kevin, children Jack, Amy and Fergal, father Tom, brothers Niall, Brendan and Paul, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nephews, nieces, her many work colleagues and many friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

Funeral cortège will arrive to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, this evening (Wednesday) for Mass of the Resurrection at 5 p.m.

Liturgy of prayers takes place tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
