Funding approved for new classrooms at Belmullet school
FUNDING has been approved for additional accommodation at St. Brendan’s College in Belmullet.
The works will include seven new classrooms, four SET rooms, two SEN classrooms, two ancillary rooms and one textile room.
Welcoming the funding, Deputy Alan Dillon said: “It will be of enormous benefit to the boys and girls attending the school. While increasing overall capacity at the Belmullet school, it also importantly increases the special education infrastructure at secondary level in north Mayo.
“This is the third school in Mayo to receive additional accommodation this year. Last month, additional accommodation in the form of new classrooms and special education needs classroom was approved for Scoil Iosa in Ballyhaunis and Derrywash NS outside Castlebar.”
