Mayo glamping amenity looking forward to reopening after investment

Geraghty's Farmyard Pods, which provide a unique outdoor glamping experience in Mayo, are looking forward to reopening after carrying out works at their Belmullet site.

An announcement on their Facebook page outlined: "After months of working continuously through these uncertain times for hospitality, we are nearing completion of The Old Dairy at Geraghty's Farmyard.

"We are now taking bookings for accommodation and we will share all the finished images in the coming weeks.

"Nestled along the Wild Atlantic Way just 5 minutes walk from Belmullet town, The Old Dairy is the newest addition of self catering accommodation in Ballinavode, Belmullet.

"The carefully restored Old Dairy building is quintessentially an old milking shed where cows would have spent the winter and would have been let in every morning and evening in spring and summer for milking.

"A lot of the original features are still to be seen.

"The Old Dairy at Geraghty's Farmyard has been carefully and lovingly considered so you can enjoy a secluded self-catering like no other.

"An idyllic setting for couples and families looking to retreat and unwind or for those looking to immerse themselves in the nature of the Wild Atlantic Way.

"Inspired by our unique location in a tranquil environment overlooking Blacksod Bay and Achill Island, our accommodation is only one minute walk to one of Ireland's only outdoor tidal pools and just a few minutes drive to some of the most stunning golden sand beaches you'll ever see.

'The self-catering private property has been sustainably restored in a unique way with its minimalistic interior yet bold design where the tender work of the original builder still shows today.

"It's exposed original roof beams and cattle stalls are still intact, along with the original floor."

Further details are available on their Facebook page.
