Saturday's Covid report from Mayo University Hospital

Three confirmed Covid cases are in care at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) today, a drop of one in 24 hours.

That's according to the latest report from the facility compiled at 8 p.m. yesterday.

One new positive case was admitted to MUH during the period covered in the report.

Nationally, there are 111 positive cases in hospital care, a drop of 12.

Galway University Hospital has seven cases and Sligo University Hospital has none, no change in both cases.

There are no suspected cases at the Castlebar centre and the intensive care unit remains Covid-free.

There are two vacant general beds at MUH and one vacant critical care bed.

Meanwhile, 'less than five' new confirmed cases were reported in the community yesterday, bringing the total to 56 for the past two weeks.

It leaves Mayo with a 14-day incidence rate of 42.9 - below the national average of 129.7.
