Happy driving for one lucky Ballintubber GAA Club supporter

A popular local man has scooped the top prize of a new car in the Ballintubber GAA Club major draw.

The name of Seamus Thomas, Cloonconra, Ballintubber, was pulled from the drum by Fr. Frank Fahey, retired curate of Ballintubber Abbey, during the draw screened live on Facebook.

Seamus is the recipient of a Peugeot 3008 Allure.

All tickets were sold out in the draw with all funds raised going towards club development.

The winner of the second prize of €1,000 was Brian McNally, Westport, while Michael McDonagh, Cloonconra, Ballintubber, took the third prize of B&B at the luxurious Ashford Castle.
