West Mayo hotel to reopen soon under new ownership

Newport Business Association has welcomed the new owners of Hotel Newport - wishing them every success.

In a post on its Facebook page, the association said: "The hotel has been greatly missed and is a huge asset to Newport.

"Hotel Newport will reopen in a few weeks and provide vital local jobs.

"They are currently recruiting staff to work throughout the hotel, preferably with some experience in hospitality would be of benefit.

"Training will be given to the right candidates."
