12 Mayo groups share €268,319 in Covid stability funding

A sum of €268,319 in funding is being provided to 12 community and voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises in Mayo which have suffered financially as a result of Covid-19.

The funding was jointly announced today by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Michael McGrath, and Minister of State with special responsibility for Charities and Community Development, Joe O’Brien.

The €4.5 million investment means that €46.5 million has now been provided in Covid-19 stability funding to hundreds of organisations since the onset of the Pandemic.

Under this tranche of funding, cash injections of between €2,000 and €200,000 are being awarded to qualifying organisations that provide critical services to those most vulnerable in society.

These organisations – which span across a range of sectors – have been hit with short term cash flow issues as a result of the Pandemic.

The Mayo groups approved for funding are:

Hope Community/Voluntary Organisation:€100,000.

Clare Island Community Centre CLGCommunity/Voluntary Organisation:€75,000.

Knockmore/Rathduff Economic and Social Development Company: €20,783.

The Father Patrick Peyton C.S.C. Memorial Company: €18,130.

Lecanvey Community Centre Company: €12,151.

Killeen Community Council Ltd: €10,000.

Killawalla Community Council Ltd.:€8,750.

Killala Community Council (Newstart): €6,844.

Partry Community Council Limited:€6,476

Cong Community Centre Company Limited:€4,036.

Parke Community Hall CLG: €3,685.

Seirbihisi Curam Chill Chomain Cuideachta Faoi Theorainn Ráthaíochta: €2,464.
