GMIT awarded €2.9m. to deliver 21 Springboard+ and HCI upskilling courses - with five in Mayo
GMIT has been awarded funding of €2.9m under the HEA’s 2021 Springboard+ and Human Capital Initiative (HCI) to deliver 21 upskilling programmes from September this year (2021) including four new undergraduate Springboard and two new HCI postgraduate courses.
The GMIT offerings are part of an overall national package announced recently by the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris and Minister of State for Skills and Further Education, Niall Collins.
GMIT President Dr. Orla Flynn says: “We welcome the Minister’s recent announcement and are delighted with the outcome of the 2021 call.
"The success highlights the importance of this type of programme provision to learners and industry within our region and nationally.

A total of 546 places in total will be available on GMIT’s 21 Springboard+/ICT Skills courses with 160 of these courses fully online.
