Call for cobblelock paving at selected urban locations in Mayo

Mayo Council Council has been asked to examine the prospect of laying cobblelock paving at a number of selected locations in urban areas.

The matter was raised by Castlebar-based Councillor Ger Deere.

He said it would bring character and colour to many older streets.

The council has agreed to draft an audit on the proposal.
