Dad undertakes 1,000 kilometre walk of Mayo coastline in memory of son

A FATHER who is walking the entire coastline of Co. Mayo in memory of his late son is due to end his 1,168 kilometre trip at Enniscrone on Sunday.

Kieran O'Hora set out on his journey on June 5 in memory of son Jack who, in November 2018, following a road traffic accident, tragically lost his life at the age of 21.

Kieran has taken on over 1,000 kilometres of rugged and dangerous terrain as he walks the shores of every part of Mayo's extensive coastline in a battle of physical and mental wellbeing.

He began his walk in Leenane and is on course to finish in Enniscrone this weekend.

En route, Kieran is raising funds for his chosen charities - Cancer Care West, Mayo Roscommon Hospice and the development of the Ballina Sensory Park.
