Mayo GAA announce new streaming partner

Mayo GAA have announced that Stream Sport will be their new streaming partner for broadcasting club games in the county this year.

Mayo GAA chairperson Liam Moffatt said Stream Sport would develop, manage and deliver a premium and reliable HD service that meets the needs of the county board, GAA clubs within the county and Mayo GAA supporters viewing the games.

“Mayo GAA has streamed its matches via the platform Mayo GAA TV for the last number of years and this service has been ran by volunteer members of Mayo GAA. During this period its usage rates have grown considerably and with the advent of COVID and the inability of our supporters to attend club games the demand on this service grew to a very high level. In light of this demand Mayo GAA has outsourced the delivery of this task to a professional third party. We hope to stream up to 30 games live over the coming months on www.mayogaatv.com. All four football quarter finals, the two semi-finals and the final are all included in the package. We will also be covering the hurling final live,” said Mr. Moffatt.

Moffatt also confirmed that under the supervision of County Board PRO John Walker, Mayo GAA would further develop and expand the Mayo GAA TV service in the coming months.

“There is a huge appetite and demand from our supporters for this service and we will continue to explore all avenues to progress that connection with our loyal supporters at home and abroad,” added Mr. Moffatt.

Mayo GAA have already plans in place to compliment the streaming service with the Laochra Mhaigh Eo project through the Tile + TV package https://www.themayoheroeswall.com/, club features, supporter profiles as well as exclusive player interviews all set to feature on Mayo GAA TV in the coming months.
