Mayo's hospitalised Covid figures joint highest in the country

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) has increased by three to 21 in the past 24 hours.

That's according to the latest assessment conducted at the Castlebar facility by the HSE at 8 p.m. yesterday.

It's the joint highest statistic in the country along with Beaumont Hospital.

Galway University Hospital and Sligo University Hospital have 19 each.

Four new confirmed cases were admitted to the Castlebar centre yesterday along with two suspected cases.

Two Covid patient at MUH is in intensive care, a rise of one.

There are 10 vacant general beds and one vacant ICU bed at the centre today.
