Further hike in Mayo Covid hospitalisation figures

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) has increased by one to 22 in the past 24 hours.

That's according to the latest assessment conducted at the Castlebar facility by the HSE at 8 p.m. yesterday.

It's now the fourth highest in the country behind Galway University Hospital (32), the Mater Hospital and Sligo University Hospital with 23 each.

Two new confirmed cases were admitted to the Castlebar centre yesterday.

Two Covid patient at MUH is in intensive care, no change.

There are two vacant general beds and no vacant ICU beds at the centre today.
