Warm tributes to much-loved Castlebar woman on her passing

Tributes have been paid to Bridget Winters (née Reilly), Aughadrina, Castlebar, and late of Deergrove, Islandeady, whose death has taken place peacefully in her 94th year.

Predeceased by her husband Joe and her son John, she is very deeply regretted by her daughters Mary Reidy (Birmingham), Ann Gannon (Westport) and Edel Deane (Crossmolina), son Joe (Castlebar), daughter-in-law Ann, sons-in-law John, Tommy and John, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Warm tributes have been paid to Bridget on the condolences page of the death notices website, RIP.ie.

One described her as "a wonderful person and a fantastic neighbour whose wit was legendary."

Another stated: "She was a lovely lady, good humoured and witty."

Her remains will be reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home tomorrow (Monday) from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. with removal afterwards to The Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Requiem Mass at 1.30 p.m.

Burial takes place afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
