Ballycroy removal from national park name a very foolish act

By Auld Stock

I WONDER what ludramaun was responsible for removing the name Ballycroy from Ballycroy National Park?

Probably some faceless pen pusher sitting behind a mahogany desk in Dublin.

The people of Ballycroy are very proud of their name and are outraged at it being removed from the official title, Ballycroy National Park.

Michael Gallagher, a proud son of Ballycroy, was in fighting form when he spoke to Pat Kenny on Newstalk.

The people of Ballycroy want the name of their village retained in Ballycroy National Park, no ifs nor buts, he told Pat.

*The word ludramaun is an old Irish word meaning a foolish or unthinking person.
