Death of Tom Dolan evokes immense loss in Mayo communities
The death has occurred of Thomas Joseph (Tom) Dolan, Castlehill Park, Turlough Road, Castlebar, and formerly of Churchfield Lower, Tourmakeady, and Chicago.
Aged 49, he died suddenly yesterday at the home of his late parents in Churchfield Lower, Tourmakeady.
He was son of the late Michael and Mary (née Lydon) and nephew of the late Willie Dolan, who died five days ago.
Tom will be sadly missed and deeply mourned by his sister Christina (Castlebar), brothers Seamus, Michael, Brendan and Padraig (all Tourmakeady), aunts Katie Connor (Dublin) and Norah De Cuyper (Canada), Nora Gilmore (Ballyheane), uncles Paddy Lydon (Tourmakeady), Seamus Lydon (Galway), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours, to whom sympathy is extended

Tom had worked in Chicago for over 20 years and returned to Ireland about four years ago.
He enjoyed fishing in Lough Mask and he had a great love of Mayo GAA.
The deceased will repose in St. Mary's Funeral Home, Tourmakeady on Monday from 6 to 7.30 p.m., arriving at St. Mary's Church, Tourmakeady, on Tuesday at 10.25 a.m. for Funeral Mass at 10.30am.
Afterwards Tom will be laid to rest in Churchfield Cemetery.
