Scenes from ‘My Sailor My Love’ filmed in Mayo estate

Meadow Park in Castlebar has been a hive of activity as the cast members and film crew shot scenes at the location for the upcoming film ‘My Sailor, My Love’.

Directed by Finnish director Klaus Harö, it is being filmed at locations in Castlebar and Achill during the month of October.

It tells the story of a widower who falls in love with his home aid and the objections of his daughter to this relationship.

Some funding for the film was provided by the Western Region Audiovisual’s Fund (WRAP).

Meadow Park Residents’ Association is delighted that their estate is featuring in the film and by the buzz of excitement generated by the arrival of the film crew.
