Contractors on site transforming former Mayo military barracks into digital hub

The contractors for the Ballina Innovation Quarter project have moved on site.

The construction contract for the project, funded by the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund and Mayo County Council at a cost of €5.5m, was signed at the end of September.

Main contractors are LPB Building Services Ltd., Manulla, and they have taken possession of the site to commence work

The project has an expected completion date of April 2023 and will deliver a gross internal floor area of 17,200 sq.ft. together with public realm spaces at the former military barrack courtyard and Market Square.
