Appointment to key Mayo GAA development role is confirmed

Mayo GAA has appointed Ballindine native Kieran Kilkenny as the new Mayo GAA performance games development administrator.

He will be responsible for the implementation of specific GAA games development policy and will work to deliver set goals and objectives for all Mayo GAA activity within the county.

A statement issued by the county board stated: "Kieran will organise, develop and monitor programmes in physical fitness, nutrition and performance analysis for the Mayo GAA inter-county teams, underage teams, the talent academies and clubs."

Mayo GAA chairperson Liam Moffatt has wished Kieran well in his new role.

“Kieran has worked as a games promotion officer with Mayo GAA for a number of years and is a very capable, high qualified and talented coach.

"He brings huge expertise in sports management and performance to this new role and everybody involved with Mayo GAA looks forward to working with Kieran,” stated Moffatt.
