JOHN CANNY, ROUNDFORT

John Canny, (Ex An Garda Siochana) Late of Roundfort, peacefully at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.

Predeceased by his parents John Joseph and Nora, his brother Tom, and his sisters Teresa and Emer. Deeply regretted by his family, Sisters Patricia (O`Brien), Ennis, Breege (Miller) Dublin, Nora (Farrell), Dublin and Claire (Cleary), Tuam, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many dear neighbours and friends.

John will be reposing at Ryan`s Funeral Home, Ashbourne (A84CX52) from 9 a.m. on Thursday morning with removal to St Patrick`s Church, Slane same morning arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in St Erc`s Cemetery, Slane. Strict Covid restrictions will be in place at all times. For those who cannot attend, a personal message for the family may be left in the Condolence section below.

GERALD PATRICK DURKAN, KILLALA

The death has occurred of Gerald Patrick Durkan, late of Mayo House, Dublin St., Lusk and Church Street, Killala, peacefully at Hamilton Park Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his wife Mary, sons Garrett, Mark, Michael and Jarlath, daughters-in-law Donna, Tiffany, Mitzie and Amy, grandchildren, extended family and his wide circle of friends.

May he Rest in Eternal Peace.

MARY KATE GLYNN, KILTIMAGH

Mary Kate Glynn (née Byrne) (in her 99th year) Derryclaugh, Kiltimagh. Peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her husband Tom. Deeply regretted by her sons John and Joe, daughters Mary, Margaret and Rita, grandchildren Gerard, Suzanne, Kevin and Gillian, great grandchilden Keir, Ailish and Fionn, daughter-in-law Ann, sons-in-law Derek, Maurice, Vincent, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock (F12 A726) on Wednesday evening from 6.30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Walk through only, no hand shaking please. Removal from her residence on Thursday morning arriving to the Basilica Of Our Lady of Knock for Mass at 10.30 a.m. Burial afterwards in Knock Cemetery. No flowers by request please. PHILOMENA CONROY, MAYO ABBEY

Philomena (Phyllis) Conroy, (née Barnicle), 46 Cloonarkin Drive, Oranmore, Co. Galway and formerly Knocknacill, Mayo Abbey. November 8, 2021. Peacefully at UCHG surrounded by her loving family.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Frank, son John, daughters Mary, Francesca and Catherine, sons-in-law, Simon and Barry, John's fiancée Aishling, grandchildren Amelia, Vivian, Kate, John and Francis, her sisters Kitty, Mary and Nora, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

PAT MULROY, ACHILL

Pat (Padraic) Mulroy, Two-Mile-Ditch, Castlegar, Galway and formerly Clifden, Co. Galway and Achill. At University College Hospital, Galway with his sons Martin, Padraic, John and Neill by his side.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Nuala and pre-deceased by his older sister Máire. Mourned and sadly missed by his sons, daughters-in-law Eilís, Elizabeth and Louise, his much loved grandchildren Mary Nuala, Caroline, Cormac, Angela and Patrick, Jack, Ruth and Grace, Seán, Vicka and Elijah, sisters Síle and Evangeline, the extended Mulroy and the Donnellan family (Lisdoonvarna) and friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Claddagh on Wednesday, at 12 noon. Funeral after Mass to the New Cemetery, Bohermore.

MONSIGNOR WILLIAM O'TOOLE, LOUISBURGH

Monsignor William P O'Toole (Father Liam) (Los Angeles, California and formerly Chapel Street, Louisburgh – October 6 2021, peacefully in the care of the Carmelite Sisters and staff, Marycrest Manor, Culver City, Los Angeles, after a long illness borne with great fortitude. He was Pastor Emeritus at All Souls Parish, Alhambra, CA and served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since 1962.

Predeceased by his parents Austin and Bridget, by his sister Sr Therese, and his brothers Eugene, Anthony, Gus and Colm. Deeply regretted by his sister Kathleen Morrison, Louisburgh, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, relatives, brother priests, religious, and friends.

Requiem Mass will take place in All Souls Parish Church, Alhambra at 11 a.m. (LA local time) (7 p.m. Irish time) on November 13, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles.

A private Mass will take place at a later date in St Patrick’s Church, Louisburgh.

JIMMY TIERNAN, LOUISBURGH

Jimmy Tiernan, Cregganbawn, Louisburgh, November 8, 2021.

Loving husband of the late Bridget (née Kitterick). Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his loving son John and his wife Claire, his adored grandsons Jack and Niall, brothers-in-law Michael, John, Patrick and Peter, sister-in-law Anne, cousins, extended Tiernan and Kitterick Families, neighbours, and many friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Jimmy will lie in repose at his home in Cregganbawn on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., for family, neighbours & friends.(Walk through, mask wearing and no hand shaking please) Removal on Thursday at 11.40 a.m. to arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Killeen for 12 noon Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

House private on Thursday morning please.
