Mayo GAA convention venue changed as Covid precaution

As a precaution against Covid 19, Mayo GAA has taken the decision to move the venue of this year's convention on Sunday, December 5, from the McWilliam Park Hotel in Claremorris to The Dome at the Connacht Centre of Excellence, Bekan.

John Walker, public relations officer, explained: "The reasoning behind the change of venue was that it was felt that The Dome is a larger indoor arena.

"As a result of the change of venue this year's convention will be hosted by the East Board. The South Board will host next year's convention.

"I thank the officers of the South Board for their help to date and the East Board on agreeing to host this year's convention."

The convention gets underway at 5 p.m.
