Tender approval for Coláiste Muire in Tourmakeady

MAYO Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon has received confirmation of approval to proceed to tender for a Mayo school under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.

Coláiste Muire in Tourmakeady is set to receive two 49m2 general classrooms and one WC for assisted users. Other works include a 136m2 construction studies room including a preparation area and conversion works to a dormitory.

Said Deputy Dillon: “This is great news for Grainne Flannery and the board of management at Coláiste Muire in Tourmakeady. With roughly 140 students enrolled, the additional classrooms and the new construction studies room will greatly enhance the facilities at the school.

“It is important to see investment in our schools in Gaeltacht areas and this approval to proceed to tender is one of the final steps in delivering these new facilities at Coláiste Muire.”
