Plan to realign road at east Mayo rail overbridge

A realignment is being looked at for the road at the rail overbridge at Brickens, between Claremorris and Ballyhaunis, a meeting of Mayo County Council's roads committee was told.

Head of roads Paul Dolan said they are looking at a number of safety schemes on the national roads network in the county.

They are hoping Irish Rail will come on board with a scheme at Brickens.

Another location being looked at is on the N5 Swinford by-pass for the Kiltimagh road junctions.
