Funeral of Mayo nurse who died tragically in Boston
The funeral arrangements have been announced of the 62-year-old Mayo nurse who died tragically in Boston on December 15.
Ann O'Flaherty (née Moran), Westwood, Massachusetts, and a native of Derrynacanna, Ballintubber, died from injuries sustained after being struck by a car outside the hospital where she worked.
The deceased was an employee of St. Elizabeth’s Medical Centre in Brighton, Boston, for 33 years.
She is sadly missed by her beloved husband of 34 years Ray, son Raymond, daughters AnnMarie and Roisin, sisters Margaret Mitchell (Enniscrone) and Angela Campbell (Derrew), brothers and sisters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.
Reposing at Killawalla Community Centre on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with removal afterwards to St. Patrick's Church, Killawalla.
Requiem Mass takes place on Thursday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Ballintubber Abbey Cemetery.
