Death of former Mayo University Hospital nurse Bridget Walsh

The death has occurred peacefully at Mayo University Hospital of Bridget (Delia) Walsh (née Reddington), of The Curragh, Castlebar and Cloondeash, Castlebar.

Delia worked as a nurse in Walton, Liverpool in her younger days. She later nursed in Mayo General Hospital. Delia loved her garden and spent many happy hours looking after her plants and flowers. She was a gifted knitter and also enjoyed doing the daily crossword.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick (Paudge) and loving mother of Mary O'Connor (London), Bernadette Bohan (Cloondeash, Castlebar) and Patrick (California).

She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, son, grandchildren, great-grandchild, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Berenice, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
