MICHAEL BROWNE, SWINFORD

The death has occurred of Michael (Joe) Browne, Boleyboy, Killasser, Swinford, peacefully in the gentle care of Mayo Hospice, Castlebar. Surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

Predeceased by his son John Charles and infant daughter Angela and brothers Anthony and John, sisters Margie and Josie. Beloved husband of Kathleen, cherished father of Tina, Michael, Philip, Patricia and Dympna, Sons in-law Shane, Chris and Paul, daughters in-law Caroline and Mary. Treasured brother of Beatrice and Tom. Devoted and loving grandfather to his ten grandchildren, Alexander, Gabrielle, Douglas, Olivia, Emily, Christopher, Matthew, Rebecca, Theo and Nathan. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Boland's funeral home this Saturday from 4:30 removal at 6:30 to All Saints Church, Killasser arrival at 7 o'clock, Funeral Mass Sunday at 2 o'clock followed by burial afterwards in Killasser cemetery.

CHRISTINA DUFFY BARRETT, KILMOVEE

Christina Duffy Barrett, Castle Park, Tallaght, Dublin 24 and formerly of Cloonamna, Kilmovee, January 27, 2022 (Peacefully) after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Tallaght Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Maureen. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her heartbroken family, her daughters Tracey and Rachel, brothers T.J., Kevin and Padraig, sisters Marie, Bernadette and Helen, Christina’s partner Alan, Helen’s partner Laurence, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Christina will repose in The Brian McElroy Funeral Home, The Square, Tallaght, (D24 ADT7) on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection in St. Aengus' Church, Balrothery, Tallaght (D24 KW9W) on Monday at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Naomh Mobhí Cemetery, Kilmovee at 3 p.m. (via Charlestown and Cloonamna).

KITTY MORAN, WESTPORT

Kitty Moran (née Kerrigan), Gortadooey, Claregalway, Co. Galway and formerly of Castlebar Road, Westport.

Predeceased by her husband Martin and her son Anthony. In her 100th year, Peacefully, surrounded by her grandchildren Anna and Martin, and her daughter-in-law Mari, sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

JIMMY KEANE, CASTLEBAR

Jimmy (James) Keane, January 2022, Station Road, Castlebar, suddenly after a short illness at Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Irene. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Nora, sons Brian, Owen, Jason, Colman, brothers, Owen and Tommy, daughters-in-law Bernie, Catherine, Jackie and Caroline, adored grandchildren Sophie, Marissa, Clodagh, Jackson, Taylor, Zoe and Zara, sisters-in-law Marie and Bridie, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Remains reposing at Coady’s Funeral home this Sunday morning from 11.30 a.m. with removal at 1.30 p.m., for Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. in the Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar. Jimmy will be laid to rest afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.

MAUREEN GINTY, BALLYCROY

Maureen Ginty (née Cafferkey), Lettera, Ballycroy, peacefully at her residence on the January 27 surrounded by her heartbroken family.

Maureen will be sadly missed by her loving husband Peter, sons Michael and P.J. and daughter Áine, her brother Seamus (Ballycroy), sisters Hannah (Tiernaur) and Rose (Mulranny), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.

Removal from her residence on Saturday morning at 11.30 a.m. for Funeral Mass at 12 noon in The Holy Family Church, Ballycroy with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Michael Sweeney, Polranny, Achill Sound, late of St Brendan's Nursing Unit, Mulranny, at MUH, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his son Michael. Deeply regretted by his wife Dawn, sons David and Danny, daughter Maria, brothers Jim and Patrick, sisters Mary, Bridget and Teresa, grandchildren, son-in law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Achill Sound (F28HN81) on Saturday evening from 4.30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Removal on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Achill Sound for Mass at 11.30 a.m.. Funeral leaving Funeral Home on Monday morning at 10 a.m. for Cremation at Lakelands, Crematorium, Cavan at 3 p.m.
