WINIFRED MCVEIGH, CONG

Winifred McVeigh, Dringeen, Cong, died peacefully in her sleep in Portumna Retirement village on Wednesday. In her 106th year.

Predeceased by her father James and mother Catherine, her brothers Michael, James, John and Patrick and her sister Mae.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, nieces Mary, Kathleen, Pat and Sheila; her nephews John, James, Michael, Patrick, James, Andrew, John and Paul. her cousins Sarah and Anne. grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Burke’s Funeral Home, Clonbur on Friday from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Removal on Saturday morning after prayers for Winifred in Burke’s Funeral Home. Funeral cortège to arrive at Saint Mary of The Rosary Church, Cong for 12 noon Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in The Abbey Cemetery, Cong.

BRIDIE PEOPLES, BALLINA

Bridie Peoples (née Weir), Station Road, Ballina. Peacefully in her 96th year in the loving care of the staff of the Moy Ridge Nursing Home, Ballina.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy, parents, brother and sisters.

Deeply regretted and dearly missed by her loving sons and daughter, John, Marie and Pat, daughters-in-law Bridie and Andrea, son-in-law Martin Campbell, grandchildren Eimear, Áine, Patrick, Bryan and partner Amy, Shauna, John, Niall and Rachel, great-granddaughter Fiadh, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McGowan's funeral home, Ballina on Friday evening from 7 p.m. with removal at 8.30 p.m. to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina.

Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday morning at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards to Leigue Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be live streamed at www.ballinaparish.org

JOHN JOSEPH MONAGHAN, ACHILL

John Joseph Monaghan, Keel, Achill, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, unexpectedly, formerly of Lissadell, Sligo and Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh.

Dear brother of Vera (Australia), Betty Leonard (Derrylin) and the late Liam, Tony, Dolores and May.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family circle.

Remains arriving for 11.30 a.m for Requiem Mass on Friday in St. Colmcille’s Church, Rathcormac, Co. Sligo followed by burial in Drumcliffe Cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed on churchservices.tv/rathcormac.
