Brilliant Ballyheane storm to Westaro Cup glory

Ballyheane made it three trophies out of three as they blew Ballina Town away to win the Westaro Cup in convincing fashion on a scoreline of six goals to one.

Steven Moyles gave Ballina the lead but Michael Fahy and Nathan Reilly Doyle put the Super League champions ahead before half-time.

It was all Ballyheane from that point on as man of the match Reilly Doyle completed his hat trick in the second half, with further strikes coming from captain Sean Kilcoyne and Alan McHale completing the rout.

They will look to make it a domestic clean sweep next Sunday in Milebush when they face Westport Utd in the Calor Gas Super Cup final.
