Damage caused to roof of Achill church

The roof of the church at Currane, Achill, has been left damaged by Storm Franklin.

Members of the public have been asked to avoid entering the car park at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church until the roof is fully secured.

"If you do have to enter, please be cautious of any falling debris," stated a post on the Muintir A Chorrain Facebook page.

Muintir A Chorrain is a voluntary community group which helps with the day-to-day running of facilities in the village.
