Mayo Under-20 team named for Derry mission
Mayo GAA Under-20 manager Maurice Sheridan and his players have made the long trip to Derry for round two of the Leo Murphy Cup this afternoon.
Sheridan has made four changes to his side from their opening round victory over Roscommon with Ruairí Keane, Paddy Heneghan, Dylan Thornton and Paul Walsh all getting a chance to impress this afternoon.
Keane was outstanding for DCU in their All-Ireland Freshers win over UCC recently while Paddy Heneghan featured for the Mayo seniors in the FBD league earlier this year. Keane slots in at full back in place of Alfie Morrison with Heneghan coming in at wing forward for Balla's Ryan Fadden.
The two other changes see Ballina Stephenites Dylan Thornton replace his club mate Rory Morrin with livewire Castlebar Mitchels forward Paul Walsh also added to the attack for today's game.
Westport's Conal Dawson has reverted to his more regular position in the half back line with Breaffy's Oisin Tunney dropping to the bench.
The game takes place in the Loup GAA Grounds in Magherafelt at 1:30pm today.
Mayo GAA will have live updates across all of its social media outlets this afternoon.
