Pleasant weather forecast for Mayo's St. Patrick's Day parades

Pleasant weather is forecast for St. Patrick's Day in Mayo.

That's good news for those organising and attending parades across the county next Thursday.

According to Met. Eireann, there is growing confidence that high pressure will bring mild, dry and sunny conditions for St. Patrick's Day and bank holiday, Friday - but the nights will be cold and frosty.

Parades have been confirmed for a number of Mayo towns and villages at the following times.

Achill (Dooagh) 8 a.m.

Balla 12 noon.

Ballina 4.30 p.m.

Ballinrobe 3.30 p.m.
