Temporary road closure for outdoor dining in Mayo's county town

A STREET in Castlebar town is to be closed temporarily over the summer months to allow for outdoor dining.

Mayo County Council has published a notice of intention to temporarily close Tucker Street between 5.30 and 11.30 p.m. daily from May 1 to September 30.

An alternative route for traffic will be via Newline and New Antrim Street, with diversion signage in place.

Local access to properties will be maintained during the road closure period.

Maps will be on display on Mayo County Council’s website until 4 p.m. on April 5. Submissions or observations with regard to the proposed temporary road closure may be made in writing to Mr. Iarla Moran, Head of Castlebar Municipal District, Áras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 WF90, no later than 4 p.m. on April 5.
