Mayo Under 20 hurling team to face Donegal announced
Mayo manager Brian Finn has named a very strong team to face Donegal in the opening round of the Richie McElligott All-Ireland Under 20 B Hurling Championship this weekend.
Three of the starting 15 – Aaron Ketterick, Danny Hill and Conal Hession – have all seen action already in the Allianz National Hurling League, with two more senior panelists – Darren Murray and Jack Trench – named on the bench.
Ketterick is named at midfield, Hill at full-back and Hession at full-forward, while the team is captained from centre half-back by Ronan Treacy of Castlebar Mitchels.
The Under 20 B hurling championship is knockout and is one of the few All-Ireland competitions not to run on a provincial basis.
The game this weekend has a 2 p.m. start at James Stephens Park, Ballina, on Saturday (April 2).
