Top community engagement prize comes to Mayo at Spiders Awards
MAYO was well represented at last night's Spiders Awards in Dublin's Mansion House, with Bold Craft Marketing and Westport Chamber of Commerce taking home the national title for Best Community Engagement by a Brand.
The category recognises a company that prioritises and demonstrates the importance of community engagement, through digital, in a meaningful and measurable way. The award focuses on groups and businesses that not only call a community into action, but also achieves tangible business objectives.
Selecting Bold Craft Marketing and Westport Chamber of Commerce for the top award, the judges lauded the Westport partnership for creativity, an understanding of community group dynamics, and evidence that the online community engagement was integral in the successful delivery of their project.
Upwards of 400 people gathered for the 25th annual Spiders Awards - ‘The Oscars’ of Ireland's digital industry, which recognise companies and individuals driving digital excellence in every aspect of their work.
Bold Craft Marketing and Westport Chamber of Commerce fought off tough competition in their category to emerge on top, with Babelfis, the Central Statistics Office, Chartered Accountants Ireland, Cornmarket Group Financial Services, and Granite Digital among the finalists.
The way in which companies and individuals have had to digitally adapt business and work models during the Covid-19 pandemic was a focal point at the awards ceremony. The event recognised and celebrated the creativity and achievements of businesses nationally, particularly applauding those who prevailed triumphantly in spite of Covid-19.
Westport Chamber of Commerce proudly represented the talent and strength of the business community in the west. Undoubtedly, they have proved themselves worthy winners of the Best Community Engagement by a Brand due to the innovation, compassion and community-focused spirit they have exercised.
