Popular Mayo restaurant to close 'for foreseeable future'

A popular Mayo restaurant has announced 'with deep regret' its decision to close for the foreseeable future.

Crockets Quay Bistro, Ballina, revealed it is closing its doors from tomorrow (Monday) due to lack of staff and other mitigating circumstances beyond their control.

A post on the business's Facebook page stated: "Our sincere apologies to all our future bookings

"All outstanding vouchers will be honoured this weekend and any remaining ones will be honoured by Dillon's Bar and Restaurant until September 30.

"On behalf of all the staff in Crockets, thank you so much for the last five years.

"It has been an honour. We have made so many friends. The memories will long be cherished, Noel and staff."

Sharing the post on its Facebook page, North Mayo Tourism described the announcement as 'sad news' for the region.
