Concern about condition of Knock bus shelters

THE bus shelters in Knock are 'not fit for purpose'.

Councillor John Cribben raised concern about the condition of the facilities at a municipal district meeting.

He has received a number of calls about the three shelters in the village, with issues around their seating and the glass being dirty.

The pilgrimage season is opening up and thousands of people will be visiting Knock, he said.

In response to his question about who is responsible for the bus shelters, he was told it was the National Transport Authority.

The council will follow up on the matter with them.
