Council tributes to a true Claremorris gentleman

Tom Connolly, Convent Road, Claremorris, whose death took place recently, has been warmly remembered by the elected members of the Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District.

A noted staff member of Telecom Éireann over the years, Tom ran a very successful taxi business after he retired.

Councillor Richard Finn said he was a true gentleman and would go out of his way to help other people.

Other members joined in extending sympathy to his wife and family on their great loss.

Beloved husband of Eileen, he was loving father of Linda, Denise, Annette and John and will also be sadly missed by brothers and sisters Mattie Joe, Sarah, Aine, Rita and Phil, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
