Kudos for Mayo boxing trio on European success

A vote of congratulations has been extended to three Ballyhaunis boxers who have competed on the European stage in Sweden.

Carlagh Peake returned with a gold medal from the Golden Girl Box Cup - the largest all female competition in Europe, with her club colleagues Elizabeth Lloyd and Shauna Keaveney reaching semi-finals in their respective events.

Their achievements were lauded at the monthly Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District meeting where local Councillor John Cribben proposed a vote of congratulations.
