Castlebar Town FC clubhouse extension approved
CASTLEBAR Town Football Club have received planning permission to enhance their clubhouse.
The club has been given the go-ahead by Mayo County Council to construct a single storey extension to the west elevation of the existing clubhouse and changing rooms to facilitate a meeting room and ancillary facilities, which include a kitchenette.
The grant of permission comes as the club has launched a big fundraising drive to help realise its ambitious plans for the years ahead, with capital projects in the pipeline and the development of its academy and adult teams.
Tickets are available now for a draw, to be held on July 30, with some fantastic prizes.
The launch of the fundraiser was celebrated at Market Square in Castlebar over the bank holiday weekend.
Castlebar Town FC was founded in 1974 and prides itself on diversity and inclusion while promoting the development of its academy and adult teams.
Tickets for the draw are €10 and are available from club members throughout June and July.
