Passing of Annie Barratt is deeply regretted

The death has occurred unexpectedly of Annie Barratt (née MacNamara), "Shireforge", Tawnylaheen, Pontoon Road, Castlebar, and formerly of Rathmines, Dublin.

Annie worked all her life in her chosen career of nursing and in more recent years on the nursing staff of the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar. She was well respected and loved by her former colleagues and all those in her care.

Predeceased by her husband Ash Alexander, her parents Betty and Col. Thomas MacNamara and her brother Sean.

Annie will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Aisling, son Aragorn, her brother Kevin, sisters Elizabeth and Brigid, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives and many friends.

Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Reposing in Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, takes place this Friday evening July 1, from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Removal from the funeral home will be on Saturday morning, July 2, at 11 a.m., and will arrive at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, Dublin, for Service in the Garden Chapel at 2.15 p.m.
