Mayo retail managers shortlisted for national awards
A number of retail managers across Mayo have received nominations for the upcoming ShelfLife National Grocery Management Awards.
Russell O’Brien, manager of Delaney’s MACE Moneen, Castlebar; Chris McVeigh, manager of Casey’s Londis Ballina, and Kathryn Moloney, Manager of Casey’s Londis Castlebar have all been shortlisted.
The awards ceremony is being held in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin on Wednesday next, July 6.
Led by RTÉ presenter, MC Shay Byrne, the ceremony will honour the best in the many departments that make up local convenience stores and supermarkets, culminating in the grand prize of ShelfLife National Grocery Retail Manager of the Year.
Chris McVeigh has been shortlisted in the Forecourt Manager of the Year (Large) categor, Kathryn Moloney has been shortlisted in the Forecourt Delicatessen/Food to Go Manager of the Year category and Russell O'Brien has been shortlisted in the C-Store Delicatessen/Food to Go Manager of the Year category.
To win a Shelflife retail management award is a high point in the career of many of Ireland’s best performing managers from across a variety of categories and at various levels of career progression and the event is also the principal networking event for managers from across all retail brands to gather with colleagues, business partners, suppliers and friends.

The ShelfLife National Grocery Management Awards are now in their 17th year and are the long-standing benchmark for those in management in the retail industry.
