No joy for Mayo boys at Inter-League finals

The SFAI Inter-League season came to an end with a weekend a wonderful finals. In all there were 26 deciders in three venues featuring 52 teams and over 1,000 players – both boys and girls.

Mayo had teams in finals in both boys and girls' competitions at Under 12 and Under 13 level, with reports on the girls' games here.

In the Under 12 boys' Bowl final, Mayo came up against a good Cork side. There were no goals in the first half but Cork took the lead midway through the second and as Mayo pushed for an equaliser, the southerners hit them with a second.

The Under 13s, meanwhile, faced the Midlands, also in the Bowl final, but despite a fantastic effort, they fell to a 4-2 defeat.
