Renewed appeal for Mayo urban greenway signage

A renewed call has been made for town centre signage for the urban greenway in Castlebar.

Visitors, when they reach the bridge at Anthony Leneghan's butchers on Linenhall Street, are getting confused about where to go as there are no signs.

Councillor Ger Deere previously raised the issue a year ago when, he said, he was promised that it would be done.

Councillor Deere has also been consistently raising issues about 'antiquated' signs in the county town - like one for 'Castlebar General Hospital' that was installed 38 years ago.
