Foxford and Argentinian Navy mark a special anniversary

The town of Foxford celebrated the 245th anniversary of the birth of Admiral William Brown.

The founder and first Admiral of the Argentinian Navy was born in the Mayo town in 1777.

Foxford Brass and Reed Band led a parade through the town and were joined by a band from the Argentinian Navy.

There was a big turnout for the special event, captured on video by Alison Laredo.
