Former Mayo post office set to become a coffee shop
The old post office in Kiltimagh is to be transformed into a coffee shop.
An application for a change of use of the Main Street property has been approved by Mayo County Council.
The project is being developed by Padraic Ivers and Monika Rutkowska.
It is proposed to serve teas and coffees along with pastries, sandwiches and scones, with seating for 15 people.
The proposed number of staff to be employed is two.
One submission was received in respect of the application, highlighting the need for the building to be wheelchair accessible.
The applicants said it will be fully wheelchair accessible.
The submission also raised issues about street parking in the town, which is 'at capacity', with some motorists parking on footpaths, causing havoc for wheelchair users.
