Great Mayo turnout for Yellow Easel Studio's exhibition launch

The people of Castlebar turned out in great numbers to support the launch of Parke native Tracy Murphy’s debut art exhibition at Castle Books, Main Street, Castlebar.

Tracy founded Yellow Easel Studio in 2021.

Her original animal art paintings, framed prints and greeting cards are on display upstairs in the Castle Books Café until the end of the year.

Speaking after the event Tracy said: “I extend a huge thanks to each and every one who attended.

"The launch was a great success with lots of colour, cake and conversation.

"Attendees commented that my pieces are ideal gifts for loved ones and perfect for homeowners looking for striking wall art. Thanks for all your support and feedback.”

On her collaboration with Castle Books, Tracy said: “I extend my gratitude to David Brennan for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

"I am so proud to have my Luminous Animal Collection on display in Castle Books.

"David has created a beautiful community space which caters for book lovers, coffee lovers and now art lovers.

"The building is also steeped in the town’s history which he has honoured throughout.”

David said: “Castle Books has always supported local writers and now we are delighted to add local artists to our repertoire.

"Tracy’s vibrant work really complements the space we have in our café and we hope people call in to enjoy it.”
