New Mayo GAA manager to be revealed

A new manager of the Mayo senior football squad has been selected.

But his name will not be revealed to the public until the Mayo County Board executive meets with its club delegates at MacHale Park, Castlebar, on Monday evening.

The meeting is scheduled for 7.30 p.m., the executive members convening a meeting a half an hour earlier.

Every effort is being made to keep the name of nominated manager secret until the clubs are officially informed first.

Senior board officials are determined that the announcement will not break on social media ahead of the meeting.

However, it has not stopped the speculation, particularly on Twitter.
