Castlebar mourns passing of Joseph Corcoran
The death has occurred of Joseph Corcoran, Ballyneggin, Turlough Road, Castlebar.
He died peacefully following a long illness in Mayo General Hospital.
Tributes have been paid to him on the condolences pages of the death notices website, RIP.ie.
"He was a lovely neighbour. Happy memories of times past," said one sympathiser.
Another stated they had 'good memories of growing up on the Turlough Road.'
Predeceased by his parents Mary and Patrick and his brother Martin, Joe is deeply regretted by his wife Sharon, son’s Michael, Padraic and Joseph, daughter Claire, sisters Mary, Kathleen, Sheila and Annie, bother Michael, grandchildren Mallory, Harper, Iris and Erik, daughters-in-law Iarlai and Anna, son-in-law Alan, brother-in-law Philip Devany, Tony Cawley, sisters-in-laws Chris and Margaret, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.
Remains reposing at Coady's Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with removal on Friday morning at 11 a.m. to the Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Funeral Mass at 11.30 a.m.
Joseph will be laid to rest afterwards in Parke Cemetery (via old Turlough road).
House strictly private. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to “Parkinson Association of Ireland”.
