Corporate box tickets for Garth Brooks in aid of the Irish Wheelchair Association in Mayo

GENFITT have given the Irish Wheelchair Association two pairs of tickets to raffle off to see Garth Brooks at Croke Park.

These tickets are for their corporate box, with a host and refreshments served on the night. All funds raised are going directly to the day services that run right across Mayo.

The Irish Wheelchair Association provides community outreach programmes and safe transport to people with disabilities all over Mayo. During the Covid-19 pandemic these community outreach programmes became more vital than ever as people with disabilities were at a higher risk of social isolation, particularly if cocooning or living in remote areas.

Throughout this time, the association was busy delivering shopping, prescriptions as well as hobbies and crafts to homes right across Mayo.

The Irish Wheelchair Association introduced Zoom calls for bingo sessions, music, virtual yoga and mindfulness classes which enabled us to meet and virtually interact with our members weekly. Since restrictions lifted, they have managed to maintain these new services on top of traditional community outreach programmes which include transporting members to and from shopping and lunch trips, organised activities, sporting events and outings in their local communities.
